Synthwave Radio Episode 2

This episode came sooner than I had expected due to current events. The assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, a woman I have the utmost respect for, is what prompted this earlier-than-scheduled edition of Synthwave Radio.

I hope you enjoy this episode, the mood of the music is more somber than what you heard in the first installment only a couple of days ago.

Episode 2 Tracklist

  • Just Like Honey - Jesus and Mary Chain
  • Standing - VNV Nation
  • Back Door - Clan of Xymox
  • Everything Counts - Meat Beat Manifesto
  • Farewell To Arms - Cause and Effect
  • The Sparrows and the Nightingales - Wolfsheim
  • Teardrop - Massive Attack
  • October Song - Seabound
  • New Dress - Depeche Mode
  • Less - Haujobb
  • World Without Love - Anything Box

Please tune in again next time, and thanks for supporting Synthwave Radio!

First Episode of Synthwave Radio coming soon

So, who am I, and why am I here?

Well, I'm just a long-time music lover who felt like adding something to the music community that I have been a part of for so long. I guess a little bit of background would be appropriate here.

When I was in my early teens I discovered music in the sense that I began listening to the type of stuff that would shape my musical tastes for the indefinite future. Synthpop, Industrial, Goth, New Beat, and remix services like Razormaid! and Art of Mix became staples of my shopping lists back in the days where we all still shopped at record stores.

I would drive to other cities, hundreds of miles away, just to visit their stores and hopefully find that one CD or record that I had hunted so long for.

Anyways, to make a long story short, I've never stopped loving music, and with a new generation I have come to love other genres of music just as much as some of those I mentioned earlier. Darkwave, Futurepop and others have become staples as well.

I know how fun it can be to discover music, and I still cherish that sensation, and I love to expose others to music as well. That is pretty much the reason for the existence of these podcast radio shows I will be doing. I am just hoping that I can help others to discover some great new music as well, and maybe talk about it here in the future.

So keep an eye out for my first podcast, coming to this blog very soon.

I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you continue to listen as I grow with this thing I'm trying out.
